Complete your IPAF Operator and PASMA Towers for Users training with two separate e-learning courses before attending one day at a Harris Safety training centre. The combined package costs £325 + VAT per person (£390 including VAT).
Your attendance runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm and consists of two half-day sessions, one for IPAF and one for PASMA. The order of the sessions will be confirmed in your joining instructions.
What the package includes
- IPAF Operator training for two categories: choose 3a + 3b, 3a + 1b, or 1b + 3b.
- 3a is Mobile Vertical, including scissor lifts; 3b is Mobile Boom, including cherry pickers; 1b is Static Boom, including spider lifts.
- PASMA Towers for Users training for mobile access towers.
- Separate IPAF and PASMA e-learning courses, followed by the required attendance, training and assessments.
Successful completion of the relevant theory and practical assessments is required for each qualification. The package covers two IPAF categories; an all-three-category option is not available for this combined day.
Complete your e-learning before attending
Both the IPAF and PASMA e-learning courses must be completed before your booked attendance date. Allow enough time to study both courses and contact the office promptly if you have not received access or need help. Bring your completion evidence and the course materials specified in your joining instructions.
PASMA Towers for Users includes a theory assessment and an observed practical assessment. The theory assessment is open book using the supplied course notes, with an 80% pass mark. Completing the e-learning does not replace these assessments.
IPAF arrangements for 28 and 30 October 2026
Complete the IPAF online theory and applicable online test before attending, following your joining instructions. Practical training and assessment take place at the training centre.
IPAF arrangements from 2 November 2026
For the 6, 9 and 20 November dates, IPAF Operator e-learning candidates must take an in-person theory test on arrival under classroom conditions and pass it before starting practical training and assessment. The online theory test is a practice test only. Candidates who fail the in-person theory test must return on another day; a same-day in-person retest is not available.
Revise the theory before attending. Any open-book notes must exclude practice questions and answers and will be checked by the instructor. Follow the joining instructions for permitted materials.
Optional harness training and equipment
The harness training and equipment dropdowns are independent and both default to No. Your booking shows the selected quantities and charges before you continue to the basket.
Do you need harness training?
- No — no additional charge.
- Yes — IPAF Harness Awareness & Harness User — add £85 + VAT per person (£102 including VAT) to the package price.
When selected, harness training covers every delegate in that selection. Complete the additional online Harness Awareness learning before attending the in-person Harness User practical assessment.
Do you need a harness?
- No — I have my own — no additional charge.
- Hire a harness — £22.50 + VAT per harness (£27 including VAT).
- Buy a harness, collection — £92.50 + VAT per harness (£111 including VAT).
- Buy a harness, posted — £105.50 + VAT per harness (£126.60 including VAT).
Select the number of harnesses required separately. Equipment charges apply to that harness quantity; choosing equipment does not add harness training. The selected extras, quantities and costs are carried through to your basket, checkout and order details.
Dates and locations
Book 1–3 delegates for the same combined-course date in one order. The default and minimum quantity is one. The limit includes repeated additions and selections with different extras. Three delegates without extras cost £975 + VAT (£1,170 including VAT).
